The Piano Performance Program at the United African Institute of Technology is a comprehensive, one-year certificate program designed to cultivate the musical talent of young Rwandan students with a passion for piano performance. The program combines rigorous training in piano techniques, music theory, composition, and performance skills with an emphasis on both individual artistry and professional development.

Requirement

  • Educational Background:
    • Completion of secondary education (O-Level or A-Level) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Musical Experience:
    • Basic knowledge of piano playing (ability to read music and perform simple pieces).
    • Prior experience in music theory and sight-reading is recommended but not mandatory.
  • Language Proficiency:
    • Basic proficiency in English (as it will be the primary language of instruction).
  • Passion and Commitment:
    • Demonstrated interest in piano performance and a willingness to pursue a career in music.
    • Motivation and discipline to complete an intensive, one-year program.
